• Sunder Rajan has been a member of the prestigious National Orchestra-“Vadya Vrinda” of AllIndia Radio, when working as a staff artist in All India Radio, Delhi ,for 3 years, from 1989 to 1992
• Sunder Rajan was awarded the National Scholarship by the govt. of India, in the field of Carnatic Music—Violin
• Nadha Brahma Kala Ratnam' conferred by the Nadha Brahma Vidyalayam of Delhi
• Maharajapuram  Viswanatha  Iyer  Trust  award  for  excellence  in  the field of Violin
• In December 2001, he was awarded the Title of Vani Kala Sudhakara, By the Prestigious Sri Tyaga Brahma Gana Sabha’, Vani Mahal, Chennai
•  He has been conferred  with the title ‘Rasika Kalaratna’, by ‘Rasikapriya’—Sydney –Australia
• Sunder Rajan  has  been  appointed the Asthana Vidwan of the Hindu Temple - Dayton - USA
• Sunder Rajan is well recognised in the International Music Circuit, having performed in  USA,Canada,Australia,U.K. ,U.A.E., Singapore, Switzerland, Austria, Germany,  France, Belgium and holland . He went on a special concert tour of Eastern Europe organized by the Indian Govt., to mark 50 years of Indian independence
• In 2005, Parasuraman was a master artist in Alliance of California traditional arts Apprenticeship Program and apprentice Arun Ramamurthi from Los Angele
• In 2008, Parasuraman was a master artist in Alliance of California traditional arts Apprenticeship Program and apprentice Kiran Athreya from Los Angeles
